The magician shows a frame with a solid piece of plastic trapped inside. A helper is then asked to check the plastic to make sure it is solid.
A card is inserted into the frame and a pencil is then pushed cleanly thru the plastic and the card.

The pencil is removed and the card and frame are handed to the helper. Even though the card has a hole, the plastic is still solid and unharmed.
